With the introduction of digital patient documentation, we have taken a big step forward and simplified cooperation for our referring physicians. This leaves more time for the patient.
COOPERATION MODELS
How do referral physicians and the Heart Center Hirslanden work together? What are the models for our cooperation? What are the benefits for patients and referring physicians? In the following we would like to present you our models of cooperation.
Classic referrer model
Referral of a patient from the practice of a registered specialist or general practitioner with a clearly defined order for examination or treatment. The patient is treated by the heart specialists in the Heart Center Hirslanden as part of the contract. Further treatment takes place in the practice and under the main responsibility of the referring doctor.
Portal physician system
A portal physician accredited at the Clinic Hirslanden can clarify or treat his own patients either interventionally or surgically in the catheter laboratory. The portal physician receives close support from a partner of the Heart Center Hirslanden, who also acts as a case leader and takes on further care tasks.
Accredited doctor with extended competence
Thanks to accreditation at the Clinic Hirslanden, the specialist can examine his own patients in the catheter laboratory. If necessary, he can draw on the expertise of the interdisciplinary team at the Heart Center Hirslanden.
